About UNSPUN.

UNSPUN is a Leadership Intelligence firm. We help leaders understand how their Signal is landing with the stakeholders whose belief determines outcomes.

Why UNSPUN Exists

We believe the power of leadership Signals to move businesses forward is underappreciated and underserved. While companies invest heavily in understanding markets, competitors and performance, the Signals leaders send — and the belief they create — have largely been left to instinct.

UNSPUN was built to change that.

The founders

David Prager and Ryan Perry, co-founders of UNSPUN Advisory

Ryan Perry and David Prager served together on the Executive Committee of De Beers Group — the world's leading diamond company, with operations stretching from mining to technology, and lifestyle to luxury.

Ryan Perry

As De Beers' Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, Ryan led enterprise strategy, innovation and transformation across a global organisation operating in highly complex stakeholder environments. He held operational, technical and strategic leadership roles across the value chain, led complex government negotiations, and drove major change programmes that shaped the future of the business. His career has been built where strategy, operations and transformation meet.

David Prager

As De Beers' Chief Brand Officer, David led global campaigns, navigated major crises, and worked closely with governments and media. He transformed the company's brand, marketing, corporate affairs and sustainability functions, and served as Chairman of the Natural Diamond Council. He has spent his career shaping brands and reputations in highly scrutinised industries, helping organisations build trust, navigate change and strengthen stakeholder belief.

Why we built this

A note from the founders.

UNSPUN Advisory

We spent much of our careers working with and for heavily scrutinised companies.

We have worked at the intersection of strategy, transformation, brand and communications. We led high profile campaigns, major transformations, complex change programmes and sticky issues across global markets.

Over time, we noticed a pattern.

The success of many important initiatives was determined long before execution. It was determined by whether the people who mattered believed.

Investors deciding whether to back a strategy. Employees deciding whether to embrace change. Governments deciding whether to support a project. Partners deciding whether to commit.

The challenge was rarely a lack of strategy. More often, it was down to an invisible gap between a company's intention and stakeholders' interpretation. A Signal Gap.

Once you see the Signal Gap, it is impossible to ignore. Leaders send Signals through what they say, what they prioritise, how they show up, where they invest attention and what they choose to ignore. Those Signals have the power to underpin or unravel stakeholder belief, and stakeholder belief shapes business outcomes.

Yet unlike almost every other important business variable, leadership Signal was rarely measured, understood or managed with rigour.

We built UNSPUN to help solve that problem.

The Signal Framework is the codification of what we learned: a way to decode leadership Signals, understand how they are landing, and build Signal Advantages that create shortcuts to value.
